STM Environmental Consultants
Simon is Director of STM Environmental Consultants who offer a wide range of environmental consulting services to both the private and public sector.
Simon has an MSc in Environmental Engineering and in Computing and over 25 years’ experience in the contaminated land industry. His passion is developing software solutions to help find solutions to environmental problems.
Simon started his career as a contaminated land officer within a Local Authority gaining very valuable insights into the challenges faced by regulators. He then worked on developing bespoke environmental data management systems to help Local Authorities manage their responsibilities under Part 2a of the EPA and planning. The system, known as GeoEnviron is now used in over 80 local authorities across the country to manage workflows associated with Part 2a and planning. He is now focusing on developing software tools that can streamline the process of site investigation data management and risk assessment.
Contaminated Land Site Investigation Data Management and Risk Assessment
This seminar will focus on how to manage data obtained from site investigations. It will focus on how data management systems can be used by local authorities and consultants to develop brownfield registers as well as to prioritise sites for detailed inspection. It will also look at tools that are available for managing the sample analytical data in AGS format and the streamlining the generic risk assessment process.
