Despite best intentions, industrial accidents causing contamination happen frequently; the typical response is to get the experts in to remove it from site to deal with elsewhere. However, the increasing importance of environmental matters is challenging “polluters” to take more responsibility for the clean-up by seeking opportunities to minimise the cost to the environment.
